Current Position:

I teach STEM Science, Careers and I also drive a bus.

Previous Position:

I began my teaching career at Fort Gibson HS and was there for twenty three years.  While there I also coached football, wrestling and golf.  From there I got into School Administration.  Principal and Athletic Director for nine years at Macomb, Sulphur, Hulbert and Strother.  A tornado in 2010 prompted my retirement from education.  I was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of building my own home.  That done, I returned to part time teaching status in 2013.

Educational History:

Graduated from Putnam City West High School, Oklahoma City, OK

Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK

Master of Education degree from Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, OK

Degrees and Certifications:

Oklahoma Certification as a Superintendent, Secondary Principal, Elementary Principal, and instructor of Physical Education/Health, Anatomy/Physiology, Biology, Earth Science, and Driver/Safety Education.

Professional Development:

2001 to 2010 - CCOSA training in School Finance, Improving Curriculum, Teacher Evaluations, School Law, Legal Student Handbooks & Policies, Educational Leadership, and Board & Public Relations
2002 to 2010  - Great Expectations Methodology Training and Summer Institutes.

Family Information:

Married my college sweetheart in 1977.  We have two sons.  The youngest is a 2005 graduate of Tecumseh HS.

Personal Information:

I attend Tecumseh FBC and have been in the OSU Master Gardener program since 2012.
